Apple Crisp

Apple Crisp

Excellent recipe. I reduced flour to 3/4 cup, oats to 1 3/4 cups, increased brown sugar to 1 cup, added a teaspoon of cinnamon and a teaspoon of vanilla to the melted butter before incorporating. Very tasty. I prefer the apples a bit tart to contrast the deliciously sweet topping. I've made this several times already, real GOTO recipe. My wife prefers sweeter apples (too bad so sad) but her co-workers think it's to die for. Thank you. — tmvigneau 11/25/2014

Nice simple recipe for old-fashioned scalloped potatoes. Nothing fancy, just a real deal dish with easy to follow instructions. Delicious. Thank you. — cogramma 8/27/2014
The Best Fudge Brownies Ever!

The Best Fudge Brownies Ever!

Awesome recipe. I followed the recipe exactly, including doubling the brownie batter for a 13 x 9 pan. Also increased cooking time to 30 minutes, checking with a toothpick every 2 minutes after 25 to come out clean with a few crumbs. Used walnuts on half by spreading half the batter, adding nuts, the covering with remaining batter. Also sprinkled some nuts on top for good measure. Very rich, fudgey sweet and chewy result. Superb. — Gertis 7/28/2014
Homestyle Meatloaf

Homestyle Meatloaf

Terrific recipe that's very easy to make your own. We skipped the green bell pepper and hot sauce. Absolutely fabulous. The loaf comes out moist but firm, with just the right flavours in the right proportions. — sgrishka 3/20/2014
Good n' Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Good n' Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Fabulous recipe. Extravagant. decadent cookie. I found baking time closer to 22 minutes to get the desired result - a cookie lightly crisp around the outside and edges, and chewy in the middle. About 1/4 cup of chips were left behind afterward. I did not use an airtight bag for storage, which would cause the cookies to lose their "crispy". Yield was 16 pretty big cookies, and they were gone the next day anyway, so storage not an issue. Terrific, this is my goto chocolate chip cookie recipe. My thanks. — sgrishka 1/16/2014
Leek and Bacon Quiche

Leek and Bacon Quiche

Delicious recipe. We bake it at 325 for 30 minutes then take the heat up to 350 for an additional 10 minutes. A toothpick should come out if the middle cheesy, not wet. The 40 minutes seems to do the trick, 30 minutes isn't enough to set. Very tasty with a side of asparagus dusted with parmesan cheese. 11/29/2012

Awesome Baked Pork Chops

Simply wonderful chops, my husband loves these. I use rib end chops, which tend to be more flavorful. That's my photo. — kittie82 5/6/2011
