My name is Serena.  Im a 24 year old Nursing student, wife, and mother of a 3 year old boy.  I'm a vegetarian but I cook non-vegetarian meals for my meat-loving family! My favorite thing to do in my free time is bake!

I love making brownies (my husband loves eating them!) and my fruit cobblers are well-liked also.  I don't do many pies, but love making sweet breads, cakes, cookies, bars etc.  I'm looking for good recipes that my family will love, such as lasagnas, casseroles etc.  My schedule is somewhat hectic, so prep time is also a factor.  Happy cooking everyone!

Rocky Road Semi-Dark Fudge

The amounts of dark and semi-sweet chocolate can be altered to suit individual preference, as long as 16 oz. of chocolate is used. [I posted this recipe.] — Srowlandyum123 12/23/2009

Apple Crisp

The most time-consuming part is peeling and slicing the apples. I weighed them after they were peeled and sliced. The peeling and slicing can take 30 minutes or so depending on the method of peeling. [I posted this recipe.] — Srowlandyum123 12/10/2009

Deb's Berry "Cobbler? I barely even know her"

This recipe makes a delicious blackberry cobbler. I made it several times over the summer. The crust is delicious! A tip for late in the season berries: add a little sugar and let them sit for an hour or two before making the cobbler. — vferrari 12/10/2009

Hi Serena, wow sounds like you are a busy person. I remember being a young Mom, working and going to school so I can sympathize. Check me out once in awhile, I like to make do ahead/freezable items. If you see a recipe that doesn't have do ahead instructions let me know and I can set it up for you (I also have 6 children...planning meals was a must).
