Spicy Southwestern Pasta Salad

Spicy Southwestern Pasta Salad

YUUUUUMMMMMYYYYYY! Everybody in my family loved it. Give it lots of lemon (for zing!) and don't skimp on the avacado (for delicious creaminess).Makes a great lunch the next day, too! — sprite67 9/7/2012
Beef and Swiss Meat Pies

Beef and Swiss Meat Pies

Yummy pies, easy to make. I basically completely made up the filling with some things I had on hand. The bicuits are really convenient, though sometime I'll try with homemade dough (for some whole wheat content to make them even tastier) — swibirun 12/13/2011
Grandma's Split Pea Soup

Grandma's Split Pea Soup

Great update to split pea soup! The lemon zest (I also tossed in the juice), sage, and cayenne make give this otherwise boring dish some real taste interest! Vegetarian version could be really good, too: Skip the meat and substitute vegetable broth for chicken broth. — sgrishka 4/19/2011
Smart Teriyaki Beef with Broccoli

Smart Teriyaki Beef with Broccoli

This was a good basic recipe, fairly easy to prepare, tasy and satisfying. I ended up adding much more teriyaki sauce! (3/4 cup) Amount listed was way too little. 2/17/2010
Basic French Bread

Basic French Bread

Very good, easy recipe. I used half unbleached white and half whole wheat. Good tip about tossing ice or water in oven at start. Makes a crustier crust. It is importannt to slash top so as to allow dough yo expand w/o collapsing. 2/7/2010
Lazy Day Blueberry Pancakes

Lazy Day Blueberry Pancakes

Very good recipe. I found that the yogurt gave the batter a thicker texture, which held the berries well, yet they still fluffed up nicely, yielding excellent flavor and texture. 1/17/2010
