Honey Glazed Carrots

Honey Glazed Carrots

Excellent -- butter of course instead of margarine. Cooked peeled, chopped carrots of equal (large) density on low for 20 mins in butter, then added 1tb honey, 2 tb brown sugar and stirred. Added fresh thyme toward the end. Simple. Delicious. 11/29/2013

Best Steak Marinade In Existence

Best Steak Marinade In Existence

Really delicious. The heavy doses of Worcestershire Sauce and lemon add a tang very different from typical red wine / red wine vinegar based steak marinades. I cannot yet guarantee the title is accurate, but my daughter and I definitely loved this marinade. Remember to bring the steak to room temperature before putting it on the grill, and let it rest for 5 minutes after cooking -- your patience will be rewarded.   Added to Favorites. — fireb4smoke 8/22/2013

Penne Pasta with Lemon Sauce

Penne Pasta with Lemon Sauce

Hanan@home, you've done it again with a phenomenal, simple recipe. I served this with lemon-lime grilled chicken. Sauteed mushrooms in the large saute pan beforehand, deglazed with stock (I substituted Chicken stock, as my wife doesn't eat red meat), then added the cream, butter, etc. and proceeded from there. Paired with haricot verts. Superb accompaniment to a springtime meal.    — hanan@home 4/29/2013

Deliciously sweet and savory. Cooked for over 6 hours. 5-spice powder was very difficult to find -- checked two different markets to no avail, but finally found it at our local Safeway labeled "Chinese 5-Spice Powder". — stevemur 4/15/2013
