Sun Maid Rice Pudding

Sun Maid Rice Pudding

I used Arborio rice instead of long grain white rice and cooked it in the milk mixture. Also I had some heavy cream (on hand) , so I used 2 cups of whole milk, one cup each of half/half and heavy cream. Also I soaked the raisins in brandy and mixed into the pudding. The results was just wonderful, rich and creamy. Have added this recipe to my collection of Big Oven Recipes. — jschlank 9/11/2013
New Orleans Bread Pudding

New Orleans Bread Pudding

This tastes just like my grandmother's bread pudding at Christmas!! I did use brandy instead of whiskey and used nutmeg instead of the cinnamon also I soaked the raisins in the brandy and used the remainder of the brandy in the sauce. Wonderful, I've finally found out how she made her fabulous Christmas bread pudding. — Fishbook 9/7/2013
Ricks salmon pasta

Ricks salmon pasta

Delicious, just the right amount of spice. I used angel hair pasta, canned salmon and dehydrated mushrooms as did not have fresh. Recommend and will make again. — RKG1 7/6/2013
Bruschetta with Mozzarella

Bruschetta with Mozzarella

My garden is producing tomatoes and I needed to start using them so I made this recipe and it is great. The only change I made was not to mix the EVOO with the tomatoes, I just drizzled it on top of the tomato mixture before popping into the oven to melt the cheese. 6/7/2013

Striped Bass (Rockfish) with Tomato Basil Cream Sauce

Made this last night and it is very tasty and very easy to make. I substituted Grouper for the Striped Bass. Will definitely make again but will make some changes to the sauce by reducing the amount of heavy cream, and adding some spices. — Phudgee 4/28/2013
Dark Balsamic, Soy and Honey Glazed Grilled Northwest Salmon

Dark Balsamic, Soy and Honey Glazed Grilled Northwest Salmon

Wonderful and delicious!! I love the flavor of salmon and was looking for something different and this recipe is it. I am unable to get the recommended salmon but it is delicious with Alaska pink salmon which is available in my area year round. Usually make it 2-3 times a month and serve with stir fry vegies. Highly recommend. — stevemur 4/27/2013

Cape Cod Clam Chowder

Cape Cod Clam Chowder

Excellent, this is going in my recipe notebook. Been looking for a good basic clam chowder recipe. I added bottled clam juice instead of the water and 1/2 cup finely chopped celery and omitted the Worcestershire sauce ( I do not like) and substituted fresh nutmeg. Will definitely make again. — catgurrl 4/24/2013
Family Style White Bread

Family Style White Bread

Today I made bread again using this recipe. I used by mixer with paddle and dough hook since I am unable to mix or knead by hand. This has turned out to be my favorite as the bread is absolutely delicious and does freeze well using heavy duty tin foil. 3/6/2013
Teriyaki Beef or Chicken

Teriyaki Beef or Chicken

Not much flavor in chicken, perhaps did not marinate long enough (overnight). Reduced sauce in order to thicken and was delicious over the rice. 1/27/2013

Very good! Only thing onion was still crunchy and not soft. Next time I will saute onion with garlic. I added shrimp and bay scallops and the seafood made the dish. — patfar58 1/2/2013
Snickerdoodles

Snickerdoodles

I have always wondered what snikerdoodles were. So when I saw the recipe I decided to try and was surprised at how easy and delicious they are. Crunchy and soft, sending a box of them to the grands for Christmas. Think I will do some experimenting with different flavors other than cinnamon which is to strong for my taste. — catgurrl 12/17/2012
