I recently retired as teacher of computers and electronics at an Ontario community college and am currently working part-time as a technical writer. My husband and I enjoy travelling and trying new food and wines.

At the moment raw milk goat's cheese is right up there! I also adore red peppers (especially grilled) and fresh artichokes. And generally I really enjoy preparing one-dish meals such as hearty soups, stews and casseroles.

Hi Susan,

I am planning on making it (Summer prawn salad) for a BBQ get together with friends on Saturdsy. It looks SO good and I can only imagine how great it will taste. I will let you know how it goes. Keep an eye out for a rating any day after Saturday! That is of course if I can roll off the the outdoor setting to get to the computer ;)

I've stumbled across your Portuguese Lamb or Goat Stew (Chanfana) recipe. Well, being Portuguese and a natural to the Capital of Chanfana, (the town of Miranda do Corvo and surrounding village of Semide) I just want to suggest that if Susan comes to Portugal she should try the real thing (not exactly this recipe). Any way this seems good enough but I if she liked this, she will be surprised by true CHANFANA. By the way this is one of my favourite Portuguese foods.
