Cake Pops

I liked the flavor of the cream cheese and powdered sugar better than the tub of icing that I've used in the past. I also added a tablespoon or so of canola oil to the melted chocolate to make it thinner and better for dipping. — rsgibson 5/30/2014
Steamed Cabbage with Butter

Steamed Cabbage with Butter

As stated, this is not 100% steamed. Before serving, I drained the cabbage in a colander to get rid of the cooking liquid. The flavor was great. 3/18/2014
Slow-Cooker Corned Beef and Cabbage

Slow-Cooker Corned Beef and Cabbage

This was very, very good. My corned beef piece was 2 lbs, but I followed the recipe as written (and included the spice packet that came with the meat). I didn't cook the cabbage with it as my family won't eat cabbage. I just cooked it separately for myself. — SunnyFLErin 3/18/2014
Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Adding the OJ as suggested by many reviewers helped. Otherwise, it was way oversalted. I did brown the chicken on both sides in multiple batches to get it a bit more 'fried' before adding the sauce. We didn't need more sauce; but there was no sauce left in the pan after the chicken was served. — AnnetteKitchen 2/25/2014
Beef Stroganoff

Beef Stroganoff

We really liked this. Next time, I'll add more mushrooms. I didn't have sherry or cognac, but it was yummy without it. — sgrishka 2/25/2014

Bobby Flay's Pizza Dough

We tried a couple of different dough recipes and this was our fave. — sbjonas 2/12/2014
Frosted Molasses Creams

Frosted Molasses Creams

These are VERY good. I doubled the recipe and ended up making the cookies a bit bigger; rolling them into a ball and then flattening them with the back of a wooden spoon. — sgrishka 12/24/2013
Steve's Mushroom, Spinach and Ground Turkey Lasagna

Steve's Mushroom, Spinach and Ground Turkey Lasagna

Next time, I wont use fat free ricotta, which I felt made the dish a bit dry. Also, I won't drain the tomatoes before adding them to the meat sauce. However, it was a big hit with my family and friends and I know I'll be making it again. — stevemur 11/19/2013
Beef- Mongolian Beef

Beef- Mongolian Beef

It was just ok. Fairly bland for my family. Probably won't make again unless I step up the heat significantly. — katehandel 10/23/2013
Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta

Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta

This was really tasty. I made it for six servings and used 4t Cajun seasoning instead of the 6 the increased ingredient list called for; only b/c we had a guest with the palette of a child. :) There was only a little left over and I had those mixed w/green peas for lunch the next day. A keeper. — Firebyrd 7/4/2013
Quinoa, Broccoli, & Cheese Casserole

Quinoa, Broccoli, & Cheese Casserole

I liked it; tho my family wasn't crazy about it. I'll try it again without the broccoli (maybe use carrots) and I think they will be fine with it. — burnsma55817 5/5/2013
Irish Style Cottage Pie

Irish Style Cottage Pie

Really good. I used a bit more Guinness simply b/c we like it. Next time I will add peas for color. — rmcmullan 2/4/2013
Muffi's Stuffed Pasta Shells

Muffi's Stuffed Pasta Shells

Pretty good. Next time, I will add mozzarella cheese on top...my kids like a cheesier pasta dish. — MissMuffi 2/4/2013
Aunt Evelyn's Meatloaf

Aunt Evelyn's Meatloaf

This was really good; I even doubled the recipe and it turned out delicious. Don't forget the parchment paper-clean up was rough without it! — sgrishka 1/6/2013
Beef Stew

Beef Stew

This was a winner. Took hardly anytime to put together and came out great. — Kowgirl777 11/29/2012
Oven-Baked Rice

Oven-Baked Rice

I've made this 3 times now and the rice comes out perfect every time. Remember to crimp the foil tightly around the pan before baking and use a clean dish towel to cover the rice once it comes out of the oven. — Thekidsmom1224 10/8/2012
World's Best Macaroni and Cheese

World's Best Macaroni and Cheese

Very rich, very yummy. Hubby bought smoked gruyere instead of regular, but it turned out fine. — brentnhunter 9/19/2012
