Best Waffles Ever

Best Waffles Ever

Made a great waffle. Light and crispy. I used melted butter in place of the canola oil. Great flavor. Even without the addition of sugar it was not to sweet but not bland either. Give these a try.

Belgian Waffles

Belgian Waffles

I must be making different waffles. These were heavy and dense. It was like a thick quick bread mix. I added more milk to thin the batter and improve consistency. I will not make these again. Find yourself another recipe :-P

Marinated Flank Steak

Marinated Flank Steak

Came out perfectly. Used the marinade recipe and the instructions. Didn't use the parsley though, none on hand. Watch the salt before grilling the soy can make it salty if not careful. Wonderful steak and so so tender. You've made me a fan of flank steak and I never was before!

Sweet and tender BBQ Baby Back Ribs (Easy clean up)

Sweet and tender BBQ Baby Back Ribs (Easy clean up)

Great ribs! Works every time. Make sure to remove the membrane or else you won't have good results.

Plain White Rice

Plain White Rice

Warning: only try of you like your rice burned on the bottom. Bottom always comes out burned. Followed recipe exactly with the inclusion of a ruler for precision. I've used more water and less water as recommended in the recipe and neither yielded a good result. I have tried this method on both a gas and electric cook top and neither yielded non-burned results. I have found a much simpler method from the back of the package of rice and the results have been good each time. I will not use this method again.

Pretty good. I added 1 tsp vanilla and 1/2 tsp of cinnamon and nutmeg.

Amish Friendship Bread 2

Amish Friendship Bread 2

This turned out soupy and did not bake properly. I found another recipe it calls to remove 4 cups for starters, 3 for others and 1 for you. It also did not require any additional milk for the loaves. It turned out much better when I used that recipe.

'Perfectly Chocolate' Chocolate Cake and Frosting

'Perfectly Chocolate' Chocolate Cake and Frosting

This recipe was so simple and completely delicious! What a moist and fluffy cake. My hubby and I couldn't help ourselves when it was all done. You couldn't taste the coffee, just rich chocolate. The batter was very thin and I was skeptical, but it baked perfectly. I used a different frosting however. This will be my go to chocolate cake recipe from now on. To the poster who took 5 hours to make this cake, I can't imagine what your "staff" was doing for 5 hours!
