Best Ever Blueberry Coffee Cake

Best Ever Blueberry Coffee Cake

A class of cakes intended to be eaten alongside coffee (for example, as part of a breakfast meal) or that may be eaten during a "coffee break". Under this definition, a coffee cake does not necessarily contain coffee. They are typically single layer cakes that may be square or rectangular like a Stollen or loaf-shaped rectangular cakes, or they may be ring shaped. Coffee cakes may be flavored with cinnamon or other spices, seeds, nuts and fruits. These cakes sometimes have a crumbly or crumb topping called streusel and/or a light glaze drizzle. Some similarity to teacakes may be found, though teacakes are often smaller individual items served with tea. — webtexan 6/7/2012

Vintage Hamburger Goulash

Vintage Hamburger Goulash

Please note: This recipe is NOT a spicy dish. It is more on the bland side to appeal to children as well as husbands. If you like your food spicy, with more heat, you can always add Cayenne pepper, more chili powder, jalepenos, Ro-tel tomatoes, etc. — webtexan 1/16/2011

You want to make sure the meat is tenderized by pounding out good. Cube steaks also work well for this recipe. [I posted this recipe.] — webtexan 3/13/2010

I have substitued Ground Beef in place of the chicken for variety and it's also delightful. Also, I like Ro-tel tomatoes instead of taco sauce or roasted tomatoes. [I posted this recipe.] — webtexan 3/13/2010

Easy Chicken and Mushroom Stroganoff Recipe

To freeze, transfer Chicken Stroganoff to a plastic container with a tight-fitting lid. Let cool, uncovered, for 20 minutes. Refrigerate, uncovered, until cold, about 30 minutes. Cover tightly and freeze until needed. To thaw, transfer from freezer to refrigerator 12 - 24 hours before needed. Reheat in large, covered frypan over medium-low heat. Bring to simmer and cook about 5 minutes. [I posted this recipe.] — webtexan 3/12/2010

Although not a native Texan I got there as soon as possible and lived in the Mcallen - Mission area for almost 30 years. My wife was a native of San Antonio and made wonderful Tex-Mex dishes including King Ranch Chicken. Yours is just as good!

I would like to make this recipe. It says serves 4 -- can that be possible? It seems like it would serve a lot more. Thanks!

I made your ham and bean soup and it was very good. Just wondered why you would drain the beans first. Seems like the juice from the beans would be good for the soup. I didn't drain mine and it was terrific. Also, good that you didn't add any salt due to salt already in a couple of the ingredients.

Do you have a good casserole recipe that would be good to fix the night before & tranport to another location the next day? I like to help my daughter out & take her dinner sometime.
