Seasonings are ingredients added to foods to accentuate or boost their flavor. These ingredients include herbs (basil, mint, thyme), spices (caraway seed, cumin, chili powder), condiments (Worcestershire sauce, mustard) and vinegars.  The most commonly used seasonings are salt and pepper.
