About me
My Favorite Foods
I am especially fond of Italian and Mexican cuisines, with China and Japan coming in 3rd and 4th respectively.
I love salsa that is hot and tasty. Hot for hot's sake does not do it for me, but when the flavor is there, I am quickly addicted.
As a young lad, I recall helping my mom in the kitchen (she was a trerrible cook) and learning the basics of measuring, peeling, washing dishes, and the like. When I left home at 17, I started cooking on my own and soon found it to be a very pleasurable experience. I kept my mouth shut (except to ask questions), kept my ears open, and practiced everyday. My conclusion after 4 decades of cooking is that to be a good cook requires equal amounts of skill, imagination, and a willingness to try new things.
