About Me
I was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. I've traveled the world, but landed back at home several years later, where I've put down deep roots again!
I like to shop at thrift stores, visit with my grandchildren, bowl, swim, boating, camping, and taking care of my animals.
I work during the day as a signmaker for commercial businesses, and nights I am a singer in a local duo.
I love to cook, and everyone seems to enjoy my food, as well as my friends that show up to eat when it's something really yummy LOL.
I hope I can bring some down home southern cooking recipes in the near future.
Some of my favorite foods
Breakfast! My favorite meal!
I love all kinds of food, as long as it doesn't look like it did while it was alive, like snails (the escarGO can be escarGONE as far as I'm concerned) and squid....yuck.
I LOVE seafood which is a good thing since I'm surrounded by it. I love to cook my cornmeal coated fish and have grits, hushpuppies, and collard greens with it.
I also love black eyed peas with hog jowl, but you can only usually find it during the winter, unfortunately. I can get it at a meat market, but it's a drive over there, so I don't get it very often.
