About me

I enjoy cooking and baking of course.  I'm married with four children (ages 9,7,6,4) so life is very busy.  I enjoy going for walks and planning fun actives for my kids. My husband says I'm always ready to go somewhere!

My Favorite Foods

I enjoy most foods and trying new things.   My family and I enjoy meat dishes and barbecuing.  My favorite time of year is Christmas and preparing sweets and new deserts for the holidays!

Depending on what type of bottle your using exactly for canning. If its a plastic lid with a seal insert you use a hair dryer. For glass jars, if you already processed in water bath method, try adding an additional 5 minutes and see if that doesn't work.

In making homemade sandwich spread containing green tomatoes and Miracle Whip the instructions say to bottle in warm bottles and hot lids. But, nothing is said about shelf life; so, how long is the shelf life and is it ok to process in a warm water bath to get the bottles to seal?
