About me
I live on the outskirts of a little village in the fast growing county of Loudoun. We have a very private setting which I love but I hate that I have to use the car to go everywhere. My husband and I enjoy both foreign and domestic travel, hiking and biking, fine dining and cooking at home. My husband is quite the beer enthusiast and experiments with his own microbrews. We both enjoy good Belgians.
Before children I cooked a lot. As the kids hit the teenage years it seemed that all they liked was mac & cheese, hamburgers and hotdogs, and spaghetti ... my cooking efforts were largely unappreciated so I scaled down my cooking to several staple recipes. Now that the kids are gone my culinary interests are being rekindled. I've always enjoyed good food and, given the choice, will always opt for vegetarian or fish dishes. I also enjoy baking ... recently found a great book -- Small Batch Baking -- so that I can indulge my sweet tooth in moderation.
My Favorite Foods
Any well prepared fish. Vegan and vegetarian recipes (light on the cheese).
