About Me
I'm a gluten-intolerant, carb-conscious, disco-loving chocoholic with a swooning weakness for Theo's 91% Venezuelan dark chocolate. Once upon a time--and for nearly two decades--I was a vegetarian, but it didn't agree with my health. Thus I am now an omnivore. While I believe seafood is essential for good health, I do respect the views and diets of my veg friends. I try to eat organic foods when my budget allows it. I avoid soy protein because I believe it to be unhealthful. I also try to avoid the many incarnations of MSG not because I believe them to be terribly detrimental to health--though they may be--but because they rev up my appetite fiercely. When I have free time I love nothing more than listening to KC & The Sunshine Band and whipping up some low-carb chocolate cheesecake. I aspire to being a better cook with fancy knife skills, but I get by with my pedestrian talents and recipes from the brilliants likes of George and Rachel Stella.
My biggest culinary dream? Finding a delicious, chewy low-carb, gluten-free brownie recipe.
My darkest culinary nightmare? That at present, due to a health condition, I cannot consume foods with any significant amount of Vitamin K. That leaves out most veggies! (Sniffle...)
My culinary heroine?
Linda
the generous and wonderful.
Overall, I'm just a happy little
infp
with a big appetite for scrumptious food and a love for kind people.
Some of my favorite foods
I love low-carb cheesecake, pumpkin rolls and Cougar Gold Soup. When I'm in a healthful mood, I revel in high quality salmon and get a kick out of well-prepared shrimp. Peanut butter tempts me to its jar on a regular basis.
But more than anything?
Chocolate Rules My World.
