About me

Hi Everyone:  My husband and I live in the Santa Cruz Mountains surrounded by beautiful redwoods and our crazy Australian Shepherd Ruby and her precious little brother Rocky the Cat.  So we love Mother Nature and all she brings to create serene and happy life.

I love the water...the Pacific is 15 mintues away, and go there often (not so much to swim because the Pacific is usually very cold) but to walk its beaches, throw a ball to Ruby and most of all to abosrb its soothing sounds.

My husband and I both work in Silicon Valley at high stress jobs and look forward to retiring in a few more years, hoping never to witness the ugly world of big business and bureaucratic nonsense.

I love to cook (0f course!) I am an avid reader and love watching 4 star movies... major Alfred Hitchcock fan!  My husband Paul is addicted to baseball... 24/7 now with satellite radio.

How's that?

My Favorite Foods

It's easier for me to say what I don't like.  I don't like mediocre food served at mediocre restaurants who charge too much for meals that are bland, so, so ordinary and more or less made without thought or creativity. I hate ordering something off a menu ...say... Chicken Parmesan and there is no parmesan cheese in the recipe. Or a Philly Cheesesteak that's made with tough beef and a couple of chopped onon and bellpeppers so they can call it a Phllly. Need I go on.

I love all food prepared well except for the usual weird stuff like the innards of any animal.  Oh not a fan of fish that smells like fish either.

I have made and sold cheesecakes as a hobby. Some of my best recipes include Sally Lunn bread, crabcakes, beef bourginion, chicken paprikash, bana upside=down cake, brownies and many many cookies. (I love baking cookies!) I love eating them even better!
