About me
Have been a non-commercial, recreational cook for 50+ years. Learned to cook after my Dad almost killed us one summer while my Mom was sick! (It was a survival thing!) Have won a few contests and thoroughly enjoy the efforts.
Found BigOven while looking for a recipe/inventory/scaling program as planning for cooking for 45 to 50 people for a week on a missions retreat! (May need a sous chef or two for this one!)
My Favorite Foods
I enjoy cooking my heritage foods (Southern) with international flavor spins from numerous places I have lived overseas. I lean toward one or more of the oriental flavor sets, but equally enjoy mideast and Meditteranean. Of course, a big old mesqui
