About Me

I am a dance teacher who LOVES to cook...and eat...and enjoy wine. I've decided that when I retire (or my body gives out) my second career will be to run a bed-and-breakfast in Tuscany--after I've traveled the world, of course. A little cliche', I know, but a girl can dream. In the meantime I'll keep developing my culinary skills...just in case. 

Some of my favorite foods 

My favorite meal to cook for guests is home-made spinach ravioli with sauteed shrimp in a black truffle cream sauce. Mmmmm. My husband gave me a few weekend classes at the California Culinary Academy and this one recipe was BY FAR what made all of the classes worth it! We also do a lot of seared steak and seafood with a variety of pan sauces, which has almost made us not miss our grill (living in an apartment). We also do a lot of fresh veggies (sautee'd spinach is a staple). And even though we live in the foodie mecca of the world (the San Francisco Bay area), sometimes you just gotta have some good ole sloppy joes and mac-and-cheese.
