About me
I live in Victoria, BC on the Southern end of Vancouver Island. I love to cook. My favorite cusines are Chinese, Greek and Italian. I love all kinds of seafood. I am always looking for new seafood recipes. I'm also very fond of bread recipes, perhaps too fond. My wife, Laura and I are fans of crusty French or Italian bread with balsamic vinegar and green olive oil. Did I mention fine wine? Another weakness. I'm retired, but my wife is still working, which accounts for my persuit of new recepies. I do most of the cooking.
My Favorite Foods
I think I've already covered some of this above. We've raised four children: three boys and one girl, who still lives with us and has one year of High School left. When the children were younger, I cooked mostly bulk dishes: chilli, pasta, pizza. It is only now the nest is nearly empty that we are branching out into more gourmet dishes. I've dusted off my copy of The Joy of Cooking. I also love mysteries, especially Patricia Cornwell. Her cookbook, Food to Die For is a favorite of mine.
