About me
I live in Sevilla, in Andalucia, the south of Spain. I am English, but have a Spanish husband and two children. I am a teacher and a registered nurse (specialised in surgery, have worked in operating theatre as scrub nurse for many years). My hobbies are cooking, playing the piano, doing tapestry work, reading (!!!), using the computer, swimming and above all......being happy. I hope to learn a lot from BigOven and can also contribute many authentic Spanish recipes. Kindest reards to all members.......Alisonmary
My Favorite Foods
My favourite dish to make is curry, any sort........and that dish is practically unknown in Spain, but all my friends have come to love it! I also enjoy making typically Spanish dishes, but giving them my own "twist" and using less oil. My favourite dish that I enjoy eating OUT is roast lamb, or lamb shanks with mint sauce. I can never make this at home because my husband and children hate the smell of cooking lamb!......and where I live, the south of Spain, it is not available to buy!
