About me
I grew up in Texas, but now live in the Pacific Northwest. I enjoy cooking and collecting recipes, music, reading, the outdoors, swimming, and being near the water. I love tigers and cats of all sizes, and I collect anything cat-related. I also collect cookbooks and read them like novels. My all-time favorite cookbook is Consuming Passions: A Food-Obsessed Life. I'm a freelance writer and former newspaper reporter.
My Favorite Foods
I love Southern food, but I also really enjoy the foods of the Pacific Northwest, such as cedar-planked salmon, and Thai and Japanese cuisines. I love hot and spicy foods, including Tex-Mex and many Cajun/Creole dishes.
