About Me
I grew up in Texas, but now live in the Pacific Northwest. I enjoy cooking and collecting recipes, music, reading, the outdoors, swimming, and being near the water. I love tigers and cats of all sizes, and I collect anything cat-related. I also collect cookbooks and read them like novels. My all-time favorite cookbook is
Consuming Passions: A Food-Obsessed Life
.
I'm a freelance writer and former newspaper reporter.
Some of my favorite foods
I love Southern food, but I also really enjoy the foods of the Pacific Northwest, such as cedar-planked salmon, and Thai and Japanese cuisines. I love hot and spicy foods, including Tex-Mex and many Cajun/Creole dishes.

OU Sooners: In answer to your question, I actually used regular (not fat-free) when I made it, and it worked out great... give it a try and let me know how it turns out for you! PS. I only posted the recipe as it was originally written, in which the original recipe I had called for fat-free. But I subbed with regular - which is what I had on hand - and it was very good. Enjoy... :o)

Thank you for both the medal and the very gracious comments you gave me and my Peanut Butter Cookie recipe. By the way...your Butter Pecan Pie was a hit again this year and received raves from my family on Thanksgiving. I also just finished baking another one for tomorrows Christmas Eve dinner.
