About me
I come from a long line of good cooks - my great grandmother was the town baker before there was a commercial bakery in her small midwestern town. My grandmother also lived in a rural area and was an excellent canner. Though I neither can nor bake, I love combining store-bought sauces and condiments with fresh ingredients to create new and easy twists on both classic and ethnic dishes. Lightening salt and fat in dishes is usually a goal, though on some things I won't skimp!
