About me
I live in the Middle Atlantic states region. I am a retired widow. Things I enjoy doing are reading, knitting, sewing, computing, hanging out with kids/grandkids/great-grands.
I live alone with just my black Cocker Spaniel. Known as Bella the Wonder Dog. She is one of the cuddliest dogs I've ever had. And nobody sneaks up to my house w/o her telling me about it.
I am from Texas originally, but landed in PA due to a 2nd marriage. That marriage gave me not only a new area to learn about but 5 step-children to mingle with my 2 children. Fortunately for us all, we blended very well and are all good friends 32 years later.
My Favorite Foods
I used to be a better cook than I am these days. It's not much fun cooking for one person. Being from the South, a lot of my favorite foods are fried. Chicken, okra, etc. One of my favorite main dishes is Chicken Fried Steak. With that I like mashed potatoes & creamed gravy and either broccoli or Brussels sprouts. Yum.
I love when I go to a pot luck dinner. Then, I can do some cooking that I know won't get tossed from being in the ice box too long.
An aunt used to make a wonderful meatloaf. I've never been able to duplicate it. I've tried. I finally came to the conclusion that her's was so good for several reasons. I didn't have to make it, she was my favorite aunt and I was relaxed. That's why I'll never be able to make it like Aunt Jeffie did. Oh well.
