About me
Hello All:
My name is Shirley, But most people call me Aunt Squirrel. This is a nickname my neice gave me about 30 years ago. I must say it fits, because I am a little Squirrley every now and then. I'm married, and have been to the same man for 35 years. I have 3 children, 1 daughter and 2 sons, and 2 stepdaughters. They are all married, and I have 4 grandchildern. The youngest just turn 17. The picture is of me, my stepdaughter Teresa is on the left and my daughter Cynthia is on the right. This picture was taken 4/2007.
This is the first time I've done something like this, so I hope I don't mess it up. I love to cook. The kitchen in my home is the room everyone likes to geather in. There is always something on the stove or in the oven. I make a lot of wedding cake and do special baking for my friends and neighbors.
I also do a lot of canning of vegetables, jams and jellies. I like to do it the old fashioned way, just like grandma did years ago.
I have thousands of recipes and I hope to share some of these with you.
