About me

I live in the south-central part of the big state of Texas. My parents were restaurateurs.  My dad's specialty was smoked, grilled, BBQ meats, and could arrange food on a platter like a beautiful work of art!  My mom's specialties are her holiday dinners, and her oven baked ribs, and she makes probably the best potato salad in the whole world!  My sister has her own wonderful catering business in Dallas.  However, my brother and I did not go into the food business, but I still LOVE to cook!  My best dishes are salads, sides, and casseroles.  I also love making soups and stews!  I used to bake alot, but have got away from it.  I am always on the lookout for a good recipe! 

My Favorite Foods

My most favorite meal in the world is a ribeye steak grilled to perfection...marinated first in a soy sauce/pineapple juice concoction, then grilled with melted butter brushed on!  Served with a crisp green salad, and garlic bread.  I also love grilled onions and mushrooms on the side!!!

I also love a good stew with biscuits in the winter, and all kinds of salads in the summer!

Ethnic foods are great, too.  

A good pasta dish is welcome anytime.

Did I mention snacky foods like chips, dips, crudites, and hors d'oeuvres???

Ok, so I love food! 

For dessert...one of my favorites is simply a slice of poundcake (light on the frosting or none at all) with a good cup of coffee!
