About me

Been cooking for my dear husband for 25 years! He's a happy man. I love cooking when I have time, I am inspired by my Oldest sister  Leanne who is a Mobil chef in Las Vegas and my other sister  Cheryl who has many certificates in the food industry, we owned a mexican cafe in Port St. Joe florida in the 90's and had a blast working togethers as sisters.  She taught me more then she knows....she is my cooking inspiration......For fun I like to play guitar and sing and do karaoke at my house,  (especially with my seeeeeeester)  I have lots of dinner/karaoke parties for my friends. Life is too short not to have fun and enjoy yourselves. My best friend is my daughter, she is my sunshine when skies are grey!

My Favorite Foods

Mexican food always!!! Any vegetable except lima beans. I would love to be vegetarian, but would never impose that on my dear husband because he loves meat. I am working on presentation because cooking is an art and I want to "develop" this aspect of my art! To me, taste is the most important thing, so that is where all my attention goes!

One day I would like to start making sweets again, when my 2 children were small I made the usual homemade desserts. I specailized in Bundt cakes, I have made doughnuts, bagels, cakes, cupcakes...you name it...but...since they have moved on, I don't make those items anymore because I do not eat them. But I did get a stand up mixer for my 25th and just looking at it makes me want to make my Chocolate Kahlua bundt cake...!

Thank you!

your welcome for the medal, you deserve it my seeeeeeeeeester

Thank you my seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeester, thanks for bein so heavy on the medals,,LOL,,,,,sorry couldnt resist,,,,,,,,,love you ,,,,,

I don't know how use this web site, so I answer at your ask about rabbit; I think if you ask to you butcher, he can find it. Some countries don't know this meal.

Thanks for the medal! This is so much fun. I hope you get a chance to try the Spicy Turkey Burgers (aka Mar A Lago Turkey Burgers). Knowing that you enjoy Spanish/Mexican flavors, I think you'd really like the flavors with the chipotle and lemon zest. The apples add great texture and moistness.

I haven't actually tried the recipe on BigOven because I already had the original recipe that actually calls for twice the ingredients. As you can imagine 4 lbs of ground turkey makes a lot of burgers...16 to be exact or 8 gigantic ones. I like to keep them at the ready. I can't vouch for the accuracy of the measurements but all the ingredients seem to be there.

THank you Guitarmom for the medal, your a doll. thanks again, keep um coming,,lol

thanks sis for the nice comments, miss you!!!!!!!!!!!

I lost my camera(Damn it!!) and I have to go to England next week. I'm going to try to post a BBQ sauce recipe along with a rib basting sauce before I go, but I don't like posting without a picture... Maybe I can borrow a camera...

thanks for the welcome, I hope to meet some great people on here to give me some awesome recipes. I like to think that I can cook, but wish I was better. I think my problem is sticking to a menu and recipes, I tend to overshop and buy things that dont go together. Hopefully this site will help me and get me on track to cooking fantastic meals.

Thanks for the welcome! I'm new at this but it seems like a lot of fun. See ya'll later. 2nurses
