One of my favorite recipes is Kitcheree, which I spent cooking for Pancha Karma retreats a few years back.
Kichadi / Kitcheree-- called Indian dahl, is served in all Indian restaurants and is a mainstay of traditional Indian households. All traditional East Indian people know that when one is weakened or sick they should eat only kichari for a speedy recovery. It is used similar to Congee in traditional Chinese households.
It's quick, easy and nutritious.
