About me

I'm 27 years old and I live in Fresno California. I have a degree in Art and  I most enjoy Photography and cooking and being around people i care about. When I was a little girl my mom always told me that a respectable woman had to learn to cook (that was her trying to mold me to be the perfect housewife).  While I maybe didn't appreciate it then, I sure do now. I'm the only one of my brothers and sisters who actually enjoyed it and learned something. My parents are from Michoacan, Mexico and cooking has always been a huge part in our family. I remember big family gatherings and parties. There was always a ton of food. I learned with Mexican food, specifically food from Michoacan, which is slightly different from your usual Mexican food. Food has always been a joy and is a great way to make new memories. I hope to learn from others on this site, and make their delicious recipes.

My Favorite Foods

Since I am Mexican American, of course, some of my favorite foods are Mexican dishes, and I do think I'm pretty good at that.  But recently I have been wanting to learn more about Chinese, Japanese, and Thai cooking. I love trying new recipes and i have tried many recently.  For me, cooking is just a way to relax....except for all the dishes afterwards...
