About me
I live in Illinois. I am married and we have two sons and two grandsons. I am in school working towards my doctorate. In my free time I cruise the Internet for different recipe sites for new dinner ideas. I cook almost every day and I really like to try new things. To me cooking is very relaxing and it is a way to wind down at the end of a busy day.
My grandmother owned a restaurant and when I was about 4 years old I spoke mostly German, so I could not go to daycare. My grandmother would take me to work with her. She would let me help her make biscuits, dumplings and pie crust. So, because of her I am the fabulous cook that I am today.
My Favorite Foods
I absolutely love Chicken and Dumplings. I have a sweet tooth and I love Peach Cobbler and home made Apple Pie. My grandmother taught me to make my favorite dishes and by age 12 I was doing my thing. I love Cornbread Dressing my aunt taught me to make that. My father taught me how to make Butter Steak in a skillet on top of the stove that melts in your mouth!
