About me
I spend most of my free time outdoors on the farm. I am a housewife and mother of two adults.
My garden is ten by six and mostly herbs and tomatoes; we have plum, pear, peaches, pecans, and apple trees.
My Favorite Foods
I love fresh spinach added to most of my recipes, and like to add jams and butter to the roasts.
Baking is the most rewarding, but, crockpots make the most sense.
I would like hints on how to adjust ingredients to recipes, so I may throw it in the crock on LO for the day.
My mother was a wonderful cook.
I have a junior high school memory of my 90-yr. old grandmother teaching me how to bake her starter bread , with French-accented instructions of : "four handfuls of flour..add a little more of.., a sprinkle of..", (my mother was smiling beside me!). It was wonderful bread, too!
