About Me I'm retired; my wife Suzie isn't, so I'm now the 'chef' of Basselope Hill. I enjoy getting into the 'zen' of cooking - finding the right colors, seasonings and preparation to bring out the soul and essence of what we eat. It should be relatively simple...fancy sauces and hours of laborious preparation are, frankly, a complete turnoff. I also like finding recipes that are good and adapting them to be healthier - lower in fat and carbs. However, I've been known to make an exception (or three) for that sumptuous repast that just begs you to sin! Some of my favorite foods Pretty much anything.
