I would be glad to share if i had one.This is something the "old folks" used to make and they always threw in a dab of this and a handful of that. If you find a good one for pumpkin butter add the same spices and brown and white sugar. this is just something ive experimented with, but no recipe, just go by your taste. When i first start cooking the cushaw instead of adding water at the first to keep it from sticking; if i have it handy; i add unpasturized apple cider. This give it some zing and adds some pectin. Apple juice might work well also Enjoy experimenting.
Thanks for the comment on my cushaw cake recipe! I hope you enjoy it I never thought of making cushaw butter. Would you be willing to share your recipe for that? I really love fruit butters & I'm sure you already know how productive cushaw plants are. Thanks Dana McDonald
