About Me
A hobby I have is to read cookbooks and peruse the internet for good recipes. I spend many hours a week at this. I like to take a little from this recipe and a little from that recipe and make it my own since I know well what ingredients I and my family like. I spend more time looking than cooking since I am a bit of an impatient cook.
My husband is a chef and cooking for him is a bit difficult at times. He is one of those perfectionists in the kitchen and has a natural instinct. He can take a nibble of something and recite with good accuracy most of the ingredients.
I do most of the cooking and consider "It's ok" from him as a compliment. I love it when I get a "I really enjoyed that". I am rarely afraid to try something new My favorite foodsand am always looking for one of those "WOW" recipes.
Some of my favorite foods
My favorite foods are shrimp bacon beef chicken and anything breakfast or dessert. I consider my cooking more geared towards good taste rather than good for you.
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and baking little pies from the leftover pie crust with my younger sister is one of my favorite happy memories.
My son who is now 17 has been cooking since he was about 2. He still experiments in the kitchen with no cheating by following any kind of recipe. He throws in a lil of this and a lil of that and many times I am quite amazed at the results.
My daughter, 18, loves to eat but is just to busy with her social life to bother much with cooking other than a frozen pizza. She does stop at home many nights a weekknowing there is always something good waiting for her.
