About me

I WILL BE ADDING A LOT TO MY PAGE IN THE NEAR FUTURE. I WAS A PROFESSIONAL DRUMMER FOR 11 YEARS. WE HAD A FOUR PIECE GROUP. WE PLAYED ALL TYPES OF MUSIC & I HAD A GREAT TIME. IN 1972, I MET MY WIFE DIANE WE GOT MARRIED. WITH MY FIRST BORN DAUGHTER JENNIFER AND A WIFE I DECIDED TO STOP PLAYING MUSIC. LETS SAY I SORT OF HUNG UP MY STICKS. MUSIC HAS BEEN A BIG PART OF MY LIFE & I WILL NEVER FORGET THE GOOD TIMES I HAD. DIANE ENJOYED COMING TO HEAR THE BAND PLAY & WE HAD A GREAT TIME.IT WAS TIME TO SETTLE DOWN WITH A ANOTHER DAUGHTER KAREN AND A SON THOMAS WE HAD OUR HANDS FULL. I WENT THROUGH THREE YEARS OF TRAINING WITH THE CHICAGO ARCHDIOCESE AND BECAME A DEACON IN 1989. I STILL HAVE FUND MEMORIES OF THE THREE YEARS I PLAYED COUNTRY MUSIC.I PLAYED WITH SOME OF THE BEST MUSICIANS IN CHICAGO.TO NAME A FEW, SMITTY, WEB PRICE, DON MYSELF WE WERE THE ( WRANGLERS ). I ALSO PLAYED WITH GENE STOKES AND THE ( BLUE BIRDS ). WE ONCE PLAYED BACK UP BAND FOR BILL ANDERSON IN COUNTRY SIDE IL. YEARS AGO. THE BEST GOOD OL BOYS YOU COULD HAVE FOR A FRIEND. WE PLAYED IN EVERY DIVE TAVERN IN CHICAGO, WHAT AN EXPERIENCE THAT WAS LOL. THAT'S ANOTHER STORY FOR THE FUTURE. I LEFT COUNTRY MUSIC AND STARTED A FOUR PIECE BAND CALLED THE BELVEDERES AND THEN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. MYSELF TOM ON DRUMS, PAUL ON KEY BOARD, GARY ON BASS, AND RICH ON LEAD GUITAR. WE PLAYED ALL TYPES OF MUSIC FROM COUNTRY, ROCK, TO THE OLDIES AND THEN SOME. WE PLAYED FOR YEARS AT THE MELODY MILL BALLROOM IN NORTH RIVERSIDE IL. IN THE IVY NOD LOUNGE. WE ALSO PLAYED AT THE WILLOWBROOK BALL ROOM IN WILLOWBROK IL. AT WILLOWBROOK WE PLAYED RELIEF FOR THE BIG BANDS UP STAIRS. WE ALSO PLAYED IN THE MARINE ROOM DOWN STARIS. WE PLAYED MANY BOWLING ALLEYS, WEDDINGS, COUNTRY CLUBS, AND PARTYS. I JUST LOVE MUSIC IT WAS A BLAST. I WILL BE BACK WITH MORE SOON.
