I made your ham and bean soup and it was very good. Just wondered why you would drain the beans first. Seems like the juice from the beans would be good for the soup. I didn't drain mine and it was terrific. Also, good that you didn't add any salt due to salt already in a couple of the ingredients.

Do you have a good casserole recipe that would be good to fix the night before & tranport to another location the next day? I like to help my daughter out & take her dinner sometime.
