Meatloaf
Ahh, the simple pleasures of meatloaf.
Meatloaf is a dish made up of ground meat formed into a bread-loaf shape, and then baked or smoked.
An American comfort-food staple, the most common variety is made with ground beef, or a combination of ground beef, pork and lamb. It has considerable appeal -- easy to prepare, a hit with kids, inexpensive and simple to clean up.
But meatloaf isn't just an American comfort food. In Greece, a special form of meatloaf is the gyro.
