Chopped up and added leftover hamburger meat and smokey hotdogs from the night before. Subsititued 2 cans of pork and beans in malasses rather than the Cambells baked beans. My youngest son hates beans but said if he had to eat beans, this is the dish he would eat.
Very good version of a true classic. I was going to post mine, but this one is so close I decided not to bother:)
When I smoke spare ribs, I trim them St. Louis style (removing the brisket strip) but smoke the strip by itself. Then I chop/shred the strip up and use it in this bean dish INSTEAD of the bacon (way too meaty with both...I tried it once). To die for!
