Festive and whimsical Rudolph cookies for the holiday season. From a recipe in Ladies Home Journal, December 2007.
Cuisine: American Main Ingredient: Peanut Butter
sammysbakedgoods ,I have made these cookies MANY times. My boyfriend at the time made this back in 2006, and it took me 5 years to find this recipe...A HUGE hit at Christmas parties12y
niyog8 ,I made this today for my church's annual Christmas bazaar. (My daughter loved them, too!) They are adorable, and the cookie is delicious! I went over to the baked goods table to check on them about an hour after I dropped them off, and they had all been purchased already! Thanks for a perfect Christmas cookie!12y
ettabakes ,Wonderful recipe. I had a great time making these cute and delicious cookies with my daughters. The girls loved sharing their tasty efforts with our Christmas Eve Party guest! Thanks for sharing.13y
deedub85 ,Made these for Christmas in 2008 and they were a big hit with the family and the boyfriend's family. :) The mini chocolate chips for eyes was the hardest part for me--some of my reindeer look confused. Haha. The antlers weren't perfect, but they were cute. I might be bringing them back this year.13y
conocontest ,These cookies are as delicious as they are adorable. I've made them to give to loved ones for Christmas and everyone is asking for more. A big hit all around.13y
conocontest ,Just made these and I agree that they have a tendency to crumble when the "antlers" are added. Make sure not to overcook them and have the candies and pretzels ready when they come out of the oven. The end result is super cute and totally worth it. The taste is great. Not to peanutty, not too sweet...just right.13y
sammysbakedgoods ,I made these cookies 2 years in a row. they were a HUGE HIT!!!! I made them for a Christmas Party for my neighbor across the street, and they went QUICK. I will make these again at Christmas14y
colleen1023 ,I cheated and made these from a ready to make cokie mx and used sour cherry balls for the nose! They were cute and a hit! Had to use frosting to stick the pretzels on! Will definately do these again!14y
beantown ,In just reading the recipe, I noted that you have mixed the way you write your measurements. The recipe would be clearer if you either used all fractions, whole numbers or decimal measurements. But to mix them as you have seems confusing and not well thought out.14y
chefcherayl ,Awesome cookies!! Huge hit at my sons playgroup Christmas party!! I would recommend chilling the dough overnight, makes it less crumbly and easier to decorate!! Just enough of a peanut butter taste, not to in your face! Also I loved how unique each cookie looked! Definatly look homemade!!14y
cleverkt ,I don't really do much baking, but it is my first Christmas with no family except the kids so I have launched into a month of serious Christmas cookie making. These didn't hold together terribly well, though that could just be the high altitude baking issues. I had to work on the timing to get the decorations on when they weren't too crumbly or too set. The kids messed them up completely and my older son gave up completely after decorating about 2. The recipe wasn't the magical family experience I had hoped it would be, but I will make the recipe again, on my own, for the kids...14y
nani26 ,Such fun to make with the grandkids. They loved them and even made them to take for their Christmas holiday treat. Be sure to chill dough after rolling before baking. After putting together your reindeer be sure to take a moment to look at the cute little faces, as each has it's own. This will be a yearly tradition to make these.15y
