Suggest a better descriptionPreheat oven to 425 degrees F. Using a pastry blender or your hands, work the flour and butter together in a bowl until the mixture resembles large peas.
Add between 2/3 and 3/4 cup of buttermilk just until the mixture comes together. (If the dough is too dry you might need to add more buttermilk.)
Knead the dough on a well-floured surface by folding it over on itself several times, using more flour as needed to prevent sticking. Roll into a rectangle about 3/4" thick. Cut biscuits using a biscuit cutter or inverted glass.
Place the biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet and bake for 10-14 minutes or until light golden brown. Serve warm.
