This is just about fool-proof!
Cook sugar, milk, and butter and boil 5 1/2 to 7 minutes. Take off the heat and add the remaining ingredients except nuts. Stir quickly and thoroughly to blend. Add nuts and pour into a lightly buttered large baking pan or dish. Cool. Cut into squares and store in refrigerator.
If you do not get Pet Evaporated milk (which is 14.5 oz) the 12 oz will work and you can add 2.5 oz of water or milk to it and it still makes perfect fudge everytime.
