Adjust rack up 1/3 from oven bottom and preheat to 325 degrees. You can use a 9 inch bundt pan (called a mini bundt pan) must be able to hold 10 cups of batter.
Butter the pan then dust with fine bread crumbs or cocoa powder ( or both)
Melt the chocolate in the too of a small double boiler on low heat until just melted then set aside to cool.
Sift together flour, baking soda and salt and set aside.
In a 2 cup glass measuring cup dissolve the coffee in a bit of boiling water, set aside to cool, add water to bring it to the
1 1/2 cup line, ad the bourbon and set aside.
Cream the butter in large bowl of electric mixer add the vanilla dn sugar and beat to mix well. Add the eggs one at a time mixing well and beating to smooth after each ingredient. Add the chocolate and beat until smooth.
Then alternately add the dry ingredients in three large additions with the liquids in two, scraping the bowl and beating until smooth after each addition.
Pour into prepared pan spinning the pan quickly in opposite directions to eliminate air bubbles..
Bake for 1 hour and 10 or 15 minutes bake until tester comes out clean.
Cool in pan 15 minutes the cover with rack and remove. Sprinkle with additional bourbon and leave upside down on rack to cool completely.
Sprinkle with confectioners sugar or serve with bourbon whipped cream
