Grate onion on coarse grater or chop finely, fry in oil till transparent. Add beef, ketchup, herbs, pepper and garlic, stir, cover and simmer over low flame for 10 mins. Pour into glass jars, cover tightly and when cool, put in refrigerator. Keeps 2 months in unopened jars, 1 week in opened jars. Fine over spaghetti, rice or what have you.
