Place the tuna in large plastic bag and add the marinade.
Seal tightly and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
To make the ahi, remove the steaks from the bag, discard the marinate.
Grill the steaks over direct high heat.
Salad:
1/2 cup rice vinegar
1 t sugar
1/2t kosher salt
1 seedless cucumber, peeled and thinly sliced
1 small red onion, thinly sliced
1 T finely chopped fresh mint
Mix ingredients ,toss and cover.
Drain the liquid and serve over tuna.
