Easiest sweet dough recipe ever!
1) Bread Machine Directions: Use the bread machine with dough cycle that produces a 1 1/2 lb or larger loaf. Follow manufacturer's directions for loading ingredients into machine . Lightly spoon flour into measure cup; level off. Measure remaining ingredients carefully. select Dough cycle.
2) Remove dough from machine at end of cycle. Punch down dough. If dough is too sticky to handle when removed, lightly knead in enough flour to make dough manageable. Use as desired in sweet roll and coffee cake recipes.
1) Conventional Directions: Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off. In a large bowl, combine 1 1/4 cups flour, sugar, dry milk, salt, and yeast Mix well.
2) In small saucepan, heat water and butter until very warm (120 to 130 degrees). Add warm liquid and egg to flour mixture; blend at lo speed until moistened. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed. By hand, stir in 3/4 to 1 1/2 cups flour until dough pulls cleanly away from sides of the bowl.
3) On floured surface, knead in an additional 1/2 to 3/4 cup flour until dough is smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes. Place dough in greased bowl; cover loosely with plastic wrap and cloth towel. Let rise in warm place until light and doubled in size, about an hour (Dough can be refrigerated overnight; shape and let rise as desired the following day).
For cinnamon roll filling:
3/4 cup (packed) golden brown sugar
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
Spray baking dishes with nonstick spray. Place rolls in dish, arranging cut side up (there will be almost no space between rolls). Cover baking dish with plastic wrap, then kitchen towel. Let dough rise in warm draft-free area until almost doubled in volume, 40 to 45 minutes.
Position rack in center of oven and preheat to 375°F. Bake rolls until tops are golden, about 20 minutes. Remove from oven and cool slightly before frosting.
