Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Prepare Almond Topping; set aside. Grease a 13x9x2-inch baking pan; set aside.
In a large microwave-safe bowl combine chocolate & butter. Microwave until chocolate & butter melted, stirring every 30 seconds. Let Cool slightly. Stir in sugar, eggs, & extracts. Stir in flour & salt until just combined.
Spread brownie layer in prepared pan. Drop Almond Topping by rounded teasponns on top of the brownie layer. Bake about 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean.
Cool completely before cutting. (if desired dust with cocoa powder)
Almond Topping Recipe: Spread 1 cup almonds on a baking sheet * baked at 325 degrees F for 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool Slightly. Combine toasted almonds and 1/2 cup sugar in a food processor. process for 30 seconds to grind almonds. Add 1/2 cup unsalted butter, 2 tbspoons all-purpose flour, 1 large egg, 1/2 tspoon almond extract, and 2 tablespoons amaretto; process for an additional 30 seconds.
Brownies taste best if you wrap the cooled pan of brownies and let sit overnight before cutting.
