Delicious cups of almond flavor that my grandmother made every year for christmas. They are similar in taste to traditional Bonket, a dutch almond pastry but are much easier to make.
Crust:
Mix all crust ingredients by hand or with mixer. Roll crust into 1" balls. Press into mini muffin tins so dough covers bottom and sides making a little cup. Don't make the crust too thick.
Filling:
Mix all filling ingredients together. Fill crusts.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Don't over-bake. Tops of crusts should brown slightly. Don't let the filling get too brown.
As a decorative touch you can add half of a marachino cherry to the top before baking.
