Suggest a better descriptionPlace 1/4 cup warm water in the bowl of a mixer; sprinkle in the yeast and set aside until foamy, about five minutes. Add flour, butter, sugar, salt and 1 1/4 cups warm water; mix with the paddle attachment until a slightly sticky dough forms, five minutes. Knead the dough until very smooth and soft, about three minutes. Roll into a 2- foot- long log; cut into sixteen pieces. Knead each piece slightly and shape into a 7- inch long bread sticks. Arrange 2 inches apart on a parchment lined baking sheet. Cover and let rise until double, about 45 minutes. Mix topping spices together. Brush bread sticks with melted butter and sprinkle with topping. Bake in preheated 400 degree oven until lightly golden, about 15 minutes. Brush the warm bread sticks with butter and sprinkle again with topping.
