Suggest a better descriptionpreheat oven to 400
lay a paper towel out to wipe use to turn on the water after you finish hand mixing and shaping your loaf
in a large bowl, hand mix meat, onion, bell pepper, toast pieces, tomato sauce, eggs, garlic powder, salt & pepper and shape into a loaf on a cookie sheet
lay strips of bacon over the top of the loaf
use the paper towel to turn on the water to wash your hands
cover the bacon topped loaf with 1/2 thick layer of ketchup
bake for 1 hour or until done
serve with mashed potatoes and a green vegetable the first day; the 2nd day makes delicious cold or hot sandwiches.
