Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Mix flour, salt and baking powder on wax paper. Cream softened butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Beat in egg. Place peaches in a bowl. Dust with a little of the flour mixture. Toss to coat. Add remaining flour mixture alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Then gently fold in the fruit. For the topping, mix the flour, sugar and cinnamon. Cut in the butter until crumbly. Grease a 8 inch square baking dish. Pour in batter. Sprinkle topping over the batter.
Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
