Great family recipe, apple cider gives the stew a nice sweetness
I a large sauce pan brown meat in hot oil. Combine flour, thyme, salt and pepper, add to meat. Stir in apple cider and vinegar. Cook and stir well until mixture boils. Reduce heat, simmer, covered until meat is tender, about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Add remaining ingredients, coot until vegetables are tender, about 45 minutes.
